If You're Looking For Science Or Sex, Go Away

My friends and I tend to do stupid things. I tend to do random stupid things on my own as well. They'll both end up on this page.

Hall Of Shame

Experiment #1: Ugly Shirt Week
9/8/03-9/12/03
How it came about: Kevin, Matt and I were talking late one Sunday night on AIM and decided to wear our newly purchased "ugly shirts" from Wal-Mart every time we left our safe zones that week. We were allotted two safe zones. The official agreement is as follows:
Note this day: 1:48 AM, Sept. 8, 2003 - Ugly Shirt Week offcially began. Terms: must wear the same ugly shirt every time you leave the room unless you're washing it. WE'RE in.

Experiment #2: 55 Hours
9/14/03-9/17/03
How it came about: I slept in really late on Sunday the 14th (till 6 PM) and figured not sleeping that night would help get me back on a regular sleep pattern. After that it just became a game...
Thoughts during the challenge:
9/15: I got really tired and almost fell asleep during choir today... I don't know how I'm going to make it through English tomorrow. I know I can get through the night with a proper allotment of food and video games... as I type this, I have 25.25 hours left. I'm more than halfway there... it's attainable! I'm starting to spumble my jeech though... that's nannoying.
9/16 [1:40 AM]: I admit defeat. The computer screen is shaking around and making me sick, so I'm going to bed. I came up a full 23.25 hours short of my goal... I'm humiliated.

55 weeks will be achieved by the end of this semester. Don't think I've totally given up on my goal.

Experiment #3: Polo Shirt Week
9/15/03 - 9/19/03
How it came about: It was the week after Ugly Shirt Week, so we all chose something on our own to do. Matt chose "Clothes That Don't Match Good[sic]"/"I Got Dressed In The Dark" week and Kevin chose "Go To All My Classes Week." I had a bunch of polo shirts, so I chose polo shirt week... end of story.
Thoughts during the challenge:
9/18: I switched things up today and wore a shirt from earlier this week... I didn't want people to think I was wearing the same shirt two days in the same week (especially since I wore one all five days last week...). It was cool.

9/19/03: Mission Complete.

Experiment #4: Mismatch Shoes Week
9/22/03 - 9/26/03
How it came about: I bet Audra that Manhattan was spelled with an "-an" and she said it was "-en" and since I won, we were supposed to wear one of our shoes and one of the other person's shoes for the duration of the week. We didn't see each other over the weekend, so I went ahead and did Mismatch Shoes Week on my own.
Thoughts during the challenge:
9/23: I'm totally digging this one blue shoe/one black shoe thing. I'm making a statement... I'm just not sure what that statement is :)
